The global team has identified Asia Pacific as the next growth market where the product is particularly well positioned for emerging market producers in Asia. Our client is seeking a Regional Product Specialist who has the potential to grow within the organisation and take on regional leadership responsibilities. Reporting to the Global Marketing Director, this autonomous position will work closely with the global teams to provide direct and hands on technical applications support and to position related line of products to new customers in the region. In addition, the candidate should possess the ability to drive consumer insight generation and product innovation to meet with consumer needs within the Asia region.

To be successful in this role you should have:

• At least 5 years experience in product development, manufacturing/quality control in the tyre industry or product management experience to related industry
• Strong technical background with good knowledge of tyre manufacturing process
• Good understanding of costing and pricing tools
• Basic commercial experience i.e. pre-sales preferred
• Capability to work with a high degree of autonomy with minimal supervision
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with different levels and cultures in the regional business
• Ability to communicate in other Asian language would be advantageous
