POSITION TITLE: Financial Reporting Analyst

LOCATION Calgary, Alberta

Baytex Energy is a dynamic and successful oil & gas company with a good track record and strong management is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join the Financial Reporting Team.

Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, this position will have a broad range of responsibilities including:

• Assist with internal and external financial reporting;
• Corporate income tax compliance and tax provision reporting;
• Research and monitor compliance with accounting policies and legislative requirements; project management (e.g. IFRS conversion, HFM system implementation); and assist with SOX and US GAAP reconciliation.

The ideal candidate should have:

• A C.A. with 2 years of post designation experience with preference given to those within the oil & gas industry;
• Strong communication and analytical skills;
• Solid understanding of Canadian GAAP;
• General knowledge of US GAAP and Canadian taxation regulations;
• Ability to interface with both operational staff and senior management; and
• Willingness to rolling up his/her sleeves to get things done.
